Vitamin B complex, is a combination of several water soluble vitamins. The B complex group is made up of of eight B vitamins namely, B1(thiamine), B2(riboflovin), B3(niacin), B6(pyridoxine), B12(cobalamine), folic acid, panthothenic acid and biotin. Each of these vitamins has a distinctive function to perform in the body. Vitamin B complex helps in the healthy functioning of the immune and nervous system. It helps in the production of red blood cells and prevents anemia.

Most people still don’t know that recently The United States Department of Agriculture recommend how much of each B complex vitamin every person should take.

Adults consume at least 13-20 milligrams (mg) of vitamin B6 each day, depending on age and gender. For B12, adults should consume at least 2 milligrams (mg) each day. Pregnant and lactating women need more. Everything can affect this daily consumption such as an active lifestyle, smoking, drinking alcohol, some chronic health problems…etc In this case- the person is candidate to take even larger doses of these vitamins, as well as B1, B2, B3 and B5.
